ARRRR MATEY, the .Mac Gallery is a Real Hoot!

So, Apple released iLife 08 and as part of that, a high res video that you can download to learn about all the new features in each app. I got it and got to the .Mac photo gallery / sharing portion when the video showed a Safari window with a .Mac gallery as the example. I was able to make out what Safari’s URL was and yes it’s real.

Now the funny part. Everything in the gallery is stock photography except this image:

Wow I guess someone got wind of this image or they just realized that the video didn’t really hide the URL and took it down. I wouldn’t call them MFers. I’d call that “being responsible.” Oh well, at least we have the screenshots to prove it existed.

That gallery was publicly uploadable. Someone else put the image in there. It wasn’t a mistake or a joke, it was a public gallery.

I knew it was a public site and obviously someone else put that there because every image in the gallery is stock photography. It’s just funny how that site wasn’t being monitored.
